Our Craft
Where Craft Becomes Couture
At Mike + Ally, craftsmanship is not just a process — it’s a philosophy. Every piece is handcrafted in our New York atelier by artisans trained in rare, detail-driven techniques. From enamel layering and stone setting to color matching and polishing, each accessory is a study in patience, precision, and timeless design. Some pieces take hours — others, days. All are made to order.
Craft Highlights

The Art of Enameling
All 48+ enamel colors are hand-mixed, matched, and applied by brush. Some pieces are finished using a rare blowing technique, giving them a luminous, glass-like surface. This process ensures depth, texture, and a color finish that simply can’t be replicated by machine.

Swarovski Crystal Detailing
In pieces like our iconic Swarovski pave wastebasket, over 4,000 stones are applied by hand — a process that can take 30+ hours to complete. Each crystal is placed one by one with tweezers, precision tools, and a sharp eye for balance and symmetry.

Mastery in Every Medium
From metal shaping and polishing to enamel application and intricate stonework, each artisan at Mike + Ally is trained in-house across multiple disciplines. These are not surface-level finishes — they are layered, sculpted, and refined by hand. It’s this depth of skill that brings a couture standard to every piece.
"This is what separates us. Not just bath accessories, but couture for the bathroom."
